MDNOG brings together network operators, engineers, and builders from Moldova and the region. Our goal is to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and community growth in a professional and welcoming environment.
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone involved with MDNOG, at events, in online spaces, and in any other MDNOG-related context. Participation implies acceptance of these standards.
This Code applies to all MDNOG participants, including:
- Attendees, speakers, and sponsors at MDNOG events
- Volunteers and organizers
- Anyone participating in MDNOG mailing lists, chat groups, forums, or social media channels
It covers all official MDNOG events and activities, both in-person and online.
We ask all participants to:
- Treat everyone with respect and courtesy, even during technical disagreements
- Communicate constructively, critique ideas, not people
- Be inclusive and welcoming to participants from all backgrounds and experience levels
- Respect the privacy and consent of others, especially when recording, photographing, or sharing content from events
- Maintain the technical and neutral character of MDNOG discussions
The following will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, intimidation, or threatening behavior in any form
- Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or similar characteristics
- Sexualized language, imagery, or unwanted physical contact
- Deliberate disruption of talks, workshops, or community discussions
- Stalking or unwanted following, online or in person
- Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith
If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please contact the MDNOG organizing team. All reports are handled confidentially.
Email: conduct@mdnog.md
You can also speak directly with any MDNOG organizer at the event. We will be identifiable by our organizer badge.
The MDNOG organizing team will review all reports and respond as quickly as possible. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
Depending on the severity of the violation, consequences may include:
- A private warning
- Removal from the event
- A temporary or permanent ban from future MDNOG events and community spaces
- Referral to relevant authorities where appropriate
Anyone who reports a concern in good faith will be protected from retaliation. Retaliating against a reporter is itself a violation of this Code of Conduct and will be treated accordingly.
Questions about this Code of Conduct can be sent to conduct@mdnog.md.
